Good evening! It comes to my attention that awhile back (or in the nearest future) a lot of people has complained about people giving away their server sources. These servers ARE DEAD (perhaps alive) and they literally bitch about how their content is protected by a contract, well, that is complete bullshit. They mainly say that just to scare you, but it isn't true.
Let's recap this year's events. Some people wrote a thread saying they had a contract for their content, server (DEAD SERVER) or whatever. They pointed out that they sold their source to someone else, KNOWING THE CONSEQUENCES. Here's a valid pointer: If the said server has died (OR IS ALIVE), don't sell their source and pretend you have a contract protecting it against people using it. All of this goes for alive servers. Can't protect something that is generally illegal.
My point: It is bullshit if someone says they have a contract. They know the consequences if they sell their sources out to people they don't know and those people give it out to everyone. Their fault for giving their shit source out. Generally, you cannot have a contract. End of story. Na da. Zip. Zero.
Now, what I do know is that when server's sell these sources based off of an emulator that has a GNU license, they are breaking that license by selling that source. All heil retards who think they know what they are doing.
I don't recommend using a dead server's source considering it has unknowable issues with it and it could be the reason why they died.
