I know it can be done via Lua creature event 27 but how would I do the same thing via C++ for creature? ... can it be done for GameObject's also?

I don't think GameObject has this hook, only Creature.

I did some searching but just found outdated personal public API's
I can find some stuff in ScriptMgr.cpp and a bit forum surfin :P

You may still have to search a little, but it can't be worse than searching through the code =P.
