View Full Version : [SOLVED] Modifying Spells

Hi guys, I have a question regarding nerfing/buffing spells.
There are many ways to do it and so far I am familiar with editing spell.dbc and spell_bonus_data, but there is a type of spells that I haven't been able to figure out how to modify.

Spells that I have been having trouble with are those with x/100 * BaseDamage.

Few examples of these spells would be:
- Mortal Strike
- Backstab
- Shred
- Crusader Strike
- Seal of Command

I usually use a workaround and buff passives (for example instead of changing Mortal Strike, I buff Improved Mortal Strike). So, is there a direct way to modify types of spells I've already mentioned. Could anyone give me a brief explanation on how to modify these spells ?

Edit: Check m_effectBasePoints for the values.

Yeah, that can increase/decrease basepoints, but is there a way to change the way it scales (just like most spells can be corrected in spell_bonus_data) ?
