View Full Version : No More Room In Hell - Half Life Standalone

If some of you haven't seen, No More Room In Hell recently released as a Greenlight modification on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/224260/

It is a standalone, but it does use Half Life technology.

My main complaints are:

The melee attack timer is so slow, I can't tell the difference when you attack with any melee weapon. All the guns need a timer for the 'no ammo' sound, rather than it completely looping. Player collision is quite annoying...

There should also be an update to the gray screen. I was pretty much dying, not bleeding or anything and it was pretty much stuck on a gray screen. I healed up, but it didn't go away. Unless the pills I used were only for infection, but I did have bandages; however, they didn't work. First Aid pretty much will get rid of it as I figured that out.

When the zombies HIT you, can get infected. It should be bites only.

There should be a tip or something for what ammo box goes to what gun INGAME. It is rather difficult to see which ammo box goes to a gun when there's no tip.

Their Survival Mode isn't Survival Mode, it is 'Survival Objective Mode', which is totally redundant. I'd rather survive and kill zombies rather than the game ending because you have to defend objectives with barely any weapons that spawn. I understand what tweaks they said they will be making, but I, of all things would like to see an objective free survival mode.

They do mention Survival Mode on their steam page, but it is actually an Objective Survival Mode.

This game needs quite a bit of TLC. I'm surprised they even released it on steam with it being like it is. The game was poorly thought of and poorly executed. :/

I guess when you play with friends it is alright, but it disappointed me when their Survival Mode isn't an actual Survival Mode. >.>
